Audigy, Audigy2, Audigy2ZS to Audigy 4 Softmod

1. First off, uninstall your old drivers, use drivercleaner and then restart your computer.

Download and Install

2. Next, download 7zip or winrar to open the next link. The next link IS - the PAX 1.02 Audigy 4 drivers. (This is only the base drivers, modded to install on any Audigy card, and the audigy control console). Grab those! PAX1.02

3. Install the pax drivers. They have 3 options for install - Music, Music 2 and Gaming. I chose gaming, which is optimized for EAX and DVDs, which is mostly what I use my computer for. See installation for additional notes on each different driver version.

4. While those are installing, download the Audigy 4 Pro PAX ISO. This is the full A4 iso modded to install on any soundcard. Audigy4.iso

5. After the PAX 1.02 install, you don't need to restart! Go ahead and use 7zip to unzip the ISO, then mount it using Daemon Tools or Nero ImageDrive. Follow the instructions that come up. When you get to installation, click "Custom" and UNCLICK the "Driver" and "Audigy Console" box, because the PAX 1.02 set came with modded versions of these already. Install media-source if you REALLY want to... I personally don't like it.

6. Now, restart the computer. Once you boot into windows, you'll have sound! An Audigy 4 Pro sound to be exact. If creative wants you to register.... obviously, don't.

7. One last thing - grab this Patch copy the files in here to their respective locations - /Program Files/Creative/SBaudigy/Speaker Settings and then /Surround Mixer. You need to do this to enable support of these applications, if you don't want to use the control console (which works well!). Now I found right clicking on the audio button in the system tray and clicking "speaker settings" still yielded the message "the hardware is not supported".... so I just made a shortcut on my desktop to the two files we just copied. This resulted in successful launches of both programs. EDIT - upon reboot, it seems you can access them from the menu again.

8. You're done! Enjoy your slightly better sound and slightly lower CPU usage! A neat feature (for anybody with remotes) is the new entertainment center. Go into the start menu to configure that (I have an RM-900 remote) and then you can use their neat Windows Media Center-ish program to play movies, music and pictures.

Notes

Note 1 - I suggest leaving all the installation paths on their default settings, failing to do this might yeild unwanted results!

Note 2 - It also seems some people experience very slow shutdowns when the entertainment center is enabled... so if you do, go into the options and disable it.

7. download cái Patch để ***** SS Mixer và Speaker Settings. Copy nó và overwrite cái zin của creative ở /Program Files/Creative/SBaudigy/Speaker Settings và /Program Files/Creative/SBaudigy//Surround Mixer

Note1: lúc install mấy đường dẫn (DIR) để default đừng có chỉnh sửa táy máy có thể có kết quả không như mình muốn.

Trong ổ cứng của tớ còn có khá nhiều các bản softmod cho sound creative từ Blaster 5.1 đến Au,Au2,Au2ZS, Au4 lên XFI nữa. Ai cần đến tui copy cho. Mà tui ở HN nhá.

1. You should have a CD with Audigy4 ISO on a CD, of it may be mounted on a virtual drive. Also you should have the YouP Audigy4 Driver versions 1.00, 1.01 or 1.02. After the windows install, install your chipset drivers and etc, then reboot and install any Service Packs but don't go to the windows update just yet. After the service pack installation, reboot and double click on the Audigy 4 1.02 driver (i'll use 1.02 as an example). Go through it by clicking "next." A page should apper with different music presets (Music I, II and Games/DVD.) Select the one that fits you best (description of each can be found on the page before that in the installation program). Make sure when you install these drivers you install the Audio Console as well. After the driver installtion is successful, restart your PC.

2. After your computer was restarted, dont go into the Audio Console just yet to setup your system. Put in the Audigy 4 CD (iso) with drivers. When it asks you which type of instal you want, always click "Custom." In the custom installation you can install anything you want but make sure "Audio Console" and "Drivers" are unchecked because you already have them. After the install, don't forget to reboot your PC.

3. After both of those have been installed, make sure you get the "Audigy 4 patch" (link in at the end of the thread). Replace your "SpkSet.exe" which is located in X:\Program Files\Creative\SBAudigy4\Speaker Settings, with the one from the patch package. Do the same thing for the file called "SurMixer.exe", it's located in X:\Program Files\Creative\SBAudigy4\Surround Mixer. I suggest rebooting after that but thats optional.

4. After replacing those two files, get the Speaker Calibrator from the link below. Install it and reboot. After the reboot go to your Audio Console and configure everything. Don't forget to check Sound Properties in the Control Panel, make sure speakers there are set to whatever you're using. (2.1, 4.1, 5.1 and etc.) Because a lot of time Audio Console says "5.1" for example, but in windows they're still "Desktop Stereo Speakers". Run the speaker Calibrator if you have to configure your speakers "Perfectly" lol.

I also suggest going to the www.sounblaster.com and downloading the patch for the Creative Entertainment Center from the Audigy 4 Pro support page, and the Media Source patch. They're not integrated into the Audigy 4 ISO so get them separately. Of course install them after you've installed everything else.

For the people who didn't didn't reinstall windows, get the Driver Cleaner from the link below and clean everything with it. Just make sure you uninstall your Audigy Drivers/Software first. Then reboot after everything is cleaned, make sure "Creative" folder isnt in the Program FIles anymore, Search the registry as well for Creative Tech, and delete all those entries. Rebbot again and follow all these steps.

For the people with huge shutdown delay, go to the Creative Entertainment Settings and disable it. Make sure you uncheck both "Enable" and "Enable When Windows Starts Up."

**NOTE**
It's VERY importand that during installing everything you DO NOT change any of the default installation paths. If you do something might not work/crash. So, I warned you.

Cái nầy mod vào sound Audigy 2 ZS được hay không vậy , lở mai mốt có trục trặc trả về defaul được chứ( không trả về defaul làm sao đi bảo hành được) .
Nói A-E đừng cười chứ tiếng ANH không hà đọc hiểu va được chết liền ,A-E nào có lòng tốt bao dung thì cho ra 1 bản tiếng việt dể hiểu và nếu có chọc ngoáy cái sound card để biết đường mà quay trở về chổ củ ........... Thx pro nào đã post bài va làm lên cái topic nầy để A-E có dịp mở mắt ra thêm chút nửa về kính thưa các loại MOD sound card Audigy
